This unit begins by revising the symbols used for components in an electrical circuit diagram.
Section 1 asks pupils to look at a circuit diagram and decide whether the cicuit would work before building and testing it.
Section 2 asks pupils to drag components on to the screen to build particular circuits
Year 1/2 Fruit and Vegetables:
A seven week lesson plan and worksheets which include activities for looking at fruit and vegetables, making coleslaw, designing and making a fruit salad and making soup.
Year 3/4 Money Containers:
A seven week lesson plan and worksheets which include activities for designing, making and evaluating a money container.

Packaging is a series of Powerpoints that form a Unit of Work that supports the teaching of Design, in particular Packaging. Packaging is aimed at developing the skills needed to understand the process of Packaging and how to design a suitable product that fits the needs of the consumer. The aim is for the pupils to study the process of packaging, use 3D shapes from nets, develop their own ideas and design a cereal packet. Pupils without any previous learning in the subject are introduced to basic electronics. Pupils are taught the skills required to make simple electronic circuitry and will engage in the design of a complete electronic product for a target customer group.
